Hardwood Cajon

When I’m not at my day job or in the shop producing all sorts of fun things I’m a drummer/percussionist. I had a gig come about that was perfect for a cajon. I didn’t have one, so I made the one you see here. Traditionally cajons are made of plywood because it’s easier to work with and can be produced at a higher rate for a lower cost. These cajons will be made of hardwood only. This allows for a lighter weight but still very durable and a fantastic tone.

Standard builds are approximately 12”W x 12”D x 20”H. I can adjust the height easily so if you’re a drummer and you want it the same height as your throne just let me know. Also included in a standard build are leather handles to make carrying quite easy.

Options include any number of hardwoods (cherry, oak, ash, maple, walnut, sapele, etc.), snare or no snare, a removable “lid”, leather seat top and leather back pack straps. All these options will add cost.

Each item is made after the order is placed. Please allow 8-10 weeks for delivery
